Xiao Gang was the chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission from March 2013 until 20 February 2016. He was previously chairman of the board of directors of Bank of China Limited, of the Bank of China Limited, and deputy governor of the People's Bank of China, the central bank of the People's Republic of China.
