Vladimir Aleksandrovich Dzhanibekov is a retired Soviet Air Force Major General and a cosmonaut veteran of five orbital missions. Notably he was part of the Salyut-7 rescue mission and also discovered the Dzhanibekov Effect on that same mission, a logical consequence of the Tennis racket theorem.
