Israeli film director
Uri Zohar was an Israeli film director, actor, comedian and rabbi. A major figure of the Israeli New Sensibility movement in Israeli cinema, he became one of the country's most prolific and prominent filmmakers in the 1960s and 1970s. He was named a recipient of the Israel Prize for Cinema in 1976, but he declined to accept the award.
