He is firmly involved in mathematics contests and olympiads, having been the Director of American Mathematics Competitions, Director of the Mathematical Olympiad Program, Head Coach of the United States International Mathematical Olympiad Team, and Chairman of the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad.
