About this person

Timothy James Curry came up through London's West End in Hair (1968-1969), but 1973 locked in the template: Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, a role he carried to film in 1975 and never fully shook. Broadway wanted him for Mozart in Amadeus (1980-1981) and twice more after that - three Tony nominations, two Oliviers - but the screen kept pulling him sideways into Darkness in Legend (1985), Wadsworth in Clue (1985), Pennywise in It (1990). He won a Daytime Emmy voicing Captain Hook on Peter Pan & the Pirates (1990-1991) and spent the next two decades inside animation - Hexxus, Nigel Thornberry, Palpatine in The Clone Wars (2012-2014) - racking up more than 240 credits by the time he published his memoir Vagabond in 2025. He died in August 2026, a year after the book, sixty years deep in the work.
