Before that, from 8 July 1995 until 7 December 2018, he was a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Koupéla. He was consecrated and installed at Kaya on 2 March 2019 by Archbishop Piergiorgio Bertoldi, Titular Archbishop of Hispellum. Bishop Théophile Naré was appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dori, Burkina Faso, since 2 February 2025.
