Perkins is best known for his time with WWE, where he is a former one-time and inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where he is a former two-time TNA X Division Champion, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he was the second leader of United Empire and a former three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion with Francesco Akira.
