Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury

Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury was a Bangladeshi politician who served as the Deputy Leader of the Jatiya Sangsad from 2009 to 2022. She served as a Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Faridpur-2 constituency from 2008 till her death in 2022. She also served as the Environment and Forest Minister of Bangladesh during 1996–2001. She was also the first and only female general secretary of the Bangladesh Awami League, serving from 1986 to 1992.
