Hittite king
Last recorded king of the Hittite Empire, reigning as the Bronze Age collapsed around him. His rule began in 1207 BC; when or how it ended, no one knows.
Šuppiluliuma II inherited the throne from his father Tudḫaliya IV at a moment when the Hittite world still held. He ruled alongside Tukulti-Ninurta I of Assyria, part of the final generation of Bronze Age great powers. The empire he commanded had stood for centuries, but sometime after 1207 BC the records go dark. Whether he died in battle, fled, or simply vanished with his capital, history does not say. He is the last Hittite king whose name survives.
