Biography

About

Stephen Henry held Blois and Chartres around 1045. He joined the First Crusade, saw Nicaea surrender, and helped besiege Antioch — then turned around and went home before his vows were fulfilled. In 1101 he joined another crusade, reached Jerusalem, and fought at the Second Battle of Ramla. He was captured in the battle and executed on 19 May 1102.
