Simon Baruch

Simon Baruch was a Prussian-American physician, scholar, and the foremost advocate of the urban public bathhouse to benefit public health in the United States. An American Civil War veteran of the Confederate States Army, after the war Baruch was a member of the Ku Klux Klan.
