Uyghur politician of the PRC (1915–2003)
Seypidin Azizi was a Chinese politician, revolutionary, and educator. An ethnic Uyghur from the far-western border city of Tacheng (Qoqek), he is best known for his tenure as the first chairman of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Regional Government. He also occupied top positions at the national level, including Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Vice Chairperson of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
