Sejanus is read about 477 times a day, in 38 languages.
Counted to 15 September 2026, not since.
The middle day of the days counted, so one week of news cannot move it. The line under it is the last 360 days, one point a day.
Something wrong?A Roman guardsman who turned imperial bodyguard duty into a shadow throne. For five years Sejanus ran the empire while Tiberius sulked on Capri - until the emperor decided he'd grown too comfortable with the keys.

Born around 20 BC into the equestrian class, Lucius Aelius Sejanus climbed from soldier to commander of the Praetorian Guard in AD 14. He reshaped the unit from ceremonial muscle into an apparatus of state power - public security, civil administration, political leverage - changes that outlasted him. Through the 20s he tightened his hold on Tiberius and cleared rivals, including the emperor's own son Drusus Julius Caesar. When Tiberius withdrew to Capri in AD 26, Sejanus held Rome. By AD 31 he'd reached the consulship, the year's summit, and become the citizen the city feared most. Then Tiberius moved: arrested for conspiracy on 18 October AD 31, Sejanus was executed the same day, his followers with him.
