Robin Miriam Carlsson broke through at sixteen with "Show Me Love" in 1995, landing two top-10 hits in the US before her debut album was even called finished. Two more records came and went in Sweden, then she disappeared from the international radar, started her own label - Konichiwa Records - and returned in 2005 with a self-titled album that earned a Grammy nod and gave the UK "With Every Heartbeat". The real shift came in 2010: a trilogy of mini-albums rolled into Body Talk, three more Grammy nominations, and "Dancing On My Own", the sleeper hit that became her signature and changed what people expected from a pop song about being alone on a dancefloor. She took her time after that - collaborations with Röyksopp and La Bagatelle Magique, then Honey in 2018 - and returned in 2026 with Sexistential and another top-ten single, "Dopamine", eight years after the last solo record.
