Robert Cushman Murphy was an American ornithologist and Lamont Curator of birds at the American Museum of Natural History. Robert Cushman Murphy was an American ornithologist and Lamont Curator of birds at the American Museum of Natural History. Mount Murphy in Antarctica and Murphy Wall in South Georgia are named after him.
