Rainer Wieland is a German politician who served as a member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Germany from 1997 to 2024. He is a member of the Christian Democratic Union, part of the European People's Party. He was also one of the Parliament's vice-presidents from 2009. His area of responsibility as an MEP included the Stuttgart administrative district. From 2011 to 2025, Wieland was likewise president of the non-partisan Europa-Union Deutschland.
