Rafail Sergeevich Levitsky was a Russian painter in the Realist style, active during Tsars Alexander III and Nicholas II's reigns. The son to pioneering portrait photographer Sergey Levitsky, he was a second-rate master most remembered as friend to contemporaneous artists Ilya Repin and Vasily Polenov.
