About this person
Born Dika Angkasaputra Moerwani Nasution on 28 December 1984, he built his name writing comedic books that struck a nerve across Indonesia, all of them hitting bestseller lists. The stories became movies - Cinta Brontosaurus (2013), Manusia Setengah Salmon (2013), Marmut Merah Jambu (2014), Koala Kumal (2016) - with Dika cast as the lead in each, playing versions of the character he'd written. Television followed: he starred in the Kompas TV comedy serial "Malam Minggu Miko", sat as a judge on Stand Up Comedy Indonesia and Stand Up Comedy Academy, and hosted Comic Action on Indosiar. YouTube became another stage, where his stand-up and sketch work earned him the platform's Partner Rewards and made him the country's first channel to pass one million subscribers. He never left the page or the camera, spinning the same awkward honesty into whatever medium would have him.
