Paik Jong-won was born September 4, 1966, and built his name first in business, then carried that authority to the screen. Starting in 2015 he hosted Baek Jong-won's Top 3 Chef King, then Baek Jong-won's Food Truck in 2017, then Baek Jong-won's Alley Restaurant from 2018 to 2021 - a run of cooking shows that made him a household presence in South Korea. In 2024 he stepped into one of two main judging chairs on Netflix's Culinary Class Wars, bringing the same no-nonsense kitchen sense to a competition format that traveled beyond his home audience.
