Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is the sixteenth Asantehene, king of the Asante people and traditional ruler of the Asante Kingdom in Ghana. He was enstooled on 26 April 1999, succeeding his cousin Otumfuo Opoku Ware II, and is the custodian of the Golden Stool, the sacred symbol of Asante unity and authority.
