Born April 4, 1957 in Ōta, Tokyo, Nobuyoshi Kuwano joined Rats & Star as trumpeter and vocalist, earning the nickname "Kuwa-man." When the group broke up he shifted to television comedy, working alongside The Drifters' Ken Shimura and Masashi Tashiro. He filled in as Rats & Star's lead vocalist during Masayuki Suzuki's solo concert tours. He continues appearing on Japanese variety programs. When Tashiro was arrested and left entertainment, Kuwano issued a public statement: "It's disappointing. Please atone for your crimes and thoroughly cleanse your body and soul."
