Born Mikhail Grigoryevich Shats on 7 June 1965, he made his name as a TV host and stand-up comic in Russia, working the line between entertainment and satire. The work carried him to Israel, where he continued performing and building an audience on YouTube. At some point the comedy wasn't enough: he joined the Coordinating Council of the Russian Opposition, lending his voice to organized resistance.
