Born Sarah Joe Chamoun in Lebanon in 1993, Khalifa moved to the United States and entered adult films in 2014. The hijab scene made her a global flashpoint, drawing both massive viewership and intense backlash. She exited after three months, but the searches kept coming: Pornhub's top performer in 2015, xHamster's most-searched actress in 2016, Pornhub's most-searched again in 2018. Since leaving, she has worked as a webcam model, joined OnlyFans, provided sports commentary, and spoken out for sex workers' rights. In 2023 she launched a jewelry line.
