Biography

About

Maria Teresa Antonia Rafaela was born on 11 June 1726, daughter of Spain's King Philip V and Elisabeth Farnese. She married Louis, Dauphin of France — heir to Louis XV and Marie Leczinska — binding the Bourbon courts across the Pyrenees. On 22 July 1746 she died at 20, three days after delivering a daughter. The child survived her by less than two years, dying in 1748.
