About this person

Born August 7, 1999, maia arson crimew started as a developer who built Lawnchair, an Android launcher that found an audience. Between 2019 and 2021 she leaked proprietary data from Intel and Nissan, then joined a group that breached Verkada in March 2021 and accessed over 150,000 cameras. A US grand jury indicted her that same month on charges unrelated to Verkada. Swiss police raided her home and her parents' home at Washington's request, seizing her devices. Supporters rallied under #freetillie, and Republik magazine drew lines to Jeremy Hammond and Aaron Swartz. She later found the No Fly List sitting unguarded on a CommuteAir cloud server - a 2019 snapshot of who the government didn't want flying - and put it where anyone could read it.
