Luca Michlmayr was born 23 July 2002 and built his name as Lumix working the Italian club scene. The breakthrough came through a run of tracks with veteran DJ Gabry Ponte: "Monster", then "The Passenger" with D.T.E. and Mokaby, then "Thunder" adding Prezioso to the roster. By 2022 he had enough pull to represent Austria at Eurovision alongside vocalist Pia Maria, performing "Halo". The contest didn't crown him, but the catalogue had already done the work - a 20-year-old with a major-label sound and a toehold in both the festival circuit and the television spectacle.
