Born 16 July 1996, Hemmings co-founded 5 Seconds of Summer and spent the next decade as its lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, riding a wave that made the band one of Australia's biggest musical exports - two million tickets sold, billions of plays. In August 2021 he released When Facing the Things We Turn Away From, a solo debut through Sony Music Australia that hit number one on the ARIA chart and cracked the top 20 in Belgium and the UK. Three years later came Boy, a solo EP that arrived in April 2024, followed by the Nostalgia For A Time That Never Existed Tour - a string of dates that began that May and carried the new material into smaller rooms.
