Letsie I Moshoeshoe of Lesotho

Letsie I was the paramount chief of the Basotho from 11 March 1870 until his death. His reign bridged the late protectorate period, annexation to the Cape Colony (1871), the Basuto Gun War (1880–1881), and the restoration of direct British rule as the Crown colony of Basutoland in 1884.
