Léna Mahfouf was born 19 November 1997 to an Algerian family and built a following as Léna Situations on YouTube, talking her way into the attention of a generation of French viewers. By 2021, Forbes France put her on their 30 Under 30 for Cinema & Entertainment. The following spring, on 2 May 2022, she became the first French influencer invited to the Met Gala - a threshold-cross that made the news in itself. Later that year she turned up at Cannes.
