Mariana "Lali" Espósito was born 10 October 1991 and entered Argentine television in 2003 with Rincón de Luz, a children's series that led to supporting turns in Floricienta and Chiquititas. Her breakout came with the lead in Casi ángeles, which spun off Teen Angels, the pop group she fronted from 2007 to 2012 across tours in Argentina, Israel, Spain, Italy, and Latin America. In 2014 she signed with Sony Music Argentina and released A Bailar, a pop-EDM debut that went gold on singles like "Asesina" and "Histeria." Three more solo albums followed - Soy (2016), Brava (2018), Libra (2020) - each certified gold, each with hits. Her acting career kept pace: she played Abigail Williams in a Buenos Aires production of The Crucible, starred in the crime-thriller The Accused, and joined Netflix's Sky Rojo. By 2015, Infobae had named her one of Argentina's ten most influential women, a reflection of reach that now includes six Gardel Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards, and a Billboard Latin Music Award.
