Kordell Stewart is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons, primarily with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Nicknamed "Slash", he played college football for the Colorado Buffaloes and achieved recognition in 1994 for the "Miracle at Michigan", a Hail Mary pass he completed to defeat the Michigan Wolverines. Stewart also received second-team All-American and first-team All-Big Eight honors during the year. He was selected by the Steelers in the second round of the 1995 NFL draft.
