Joseph Very Quarles Jr. was an American lawyer, Republican politician, and Wisconsin pioneer. He served as a United States senator from Wisconsin from 1899 to 1905; he was subsequently appointed United States district judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and served from 1905 until his death in 1911. During his career as an attorney, he was one of the founders of the firm Quarles & Brady, which still exists.
