Jonathan Eybeschutz was a Rabbi, Talmudist, halakhist, and kabbalist, known for his conflict with Jacob Emden in the Emden-Eybeschutz Controversy. Eybeschutz served as the Dayan of Prague, and later as the Rabbi of the "Three Communities" of Altona, Hamburg, and Wandsbek.
