About this person
Johannes Høsflot Klæbo was born 22 October 1996 and skis for Byåsen IL out of Norway. He entered the record books early, becoming the youngest ever to win the FIS Cross-Country World Cup, the Tour de Ski, a World Championship event, and an Olympic event. At the 2018 Winter Olympics, his debut, he took three golds. By the 2019-20 season he had become the most successful male sprinter in World Cup history by individual wins and claimed a record four overall sprint titles; he now holds the record for most male overall race victories in the competition. The 2026 Winter Olympics lifted him to thirteen Olympic medals, eleven of them gold - the most golds won at a single Winter Games and the most career golds by any Winter Olympian. He trails only swimmer Michael Phelps on the all-time Olympic gold list.
