Jeffrey Lynn Steininger Jr. was born November 15, 1985, and first chased fame through music, releasing the album Beauty Killer in 2009 with tracks like "Lollipop Luxury" (later remixed with Nicki Minaj) and touring the world to promote it. He signed to Konlive in 2010 but walked away from music by 2013, blaming legal troubles the label's owner faced between 2007 and 2010. In November 2014 he launched Jeffree Star Cosmetics, pivoting hard into beauty and YouTube. By 2018, Forbes reported he'd earned $18 million from his channel alone that year, ranking him the fifth-highest-paid YouTuber. He announced a return to music in 2024 with a re-release of Beauty Killer featuring three new songs.
