11th-12th century Chaulukya king of Gujarat
Jayasiṃha, who assumed the title Siddharāja, a Chaulukya king who in western India. He controlled large parts of present-day Gujarat, where his capital Anahilapataka was located. His control also extended to parts of present-day Rajasthan, where he subdued the Shakambhari Chahamana king Arnoraja, and where the former Naddula Chahamana ruler Asharaja acknowledged his suzerainty. Jayasimha also annexed a part of Malwa, in present-day Madhya Pradesh, by defeating the Paramaras. He also waged an inconclusive war against the Chandela king Madanavarman.
