Isaac Le Maire

Isaac Le Maire was a Dutch entrepreneur and investor who became one of the earliest major shareholders in the Dutch East India Company (VOC). He is best known for his prolonged conflict with the VOC, a struggle that ultimately contributed to the discovery of Cape Horn.
