Imad al-Alami

Imad Khalil al-Alami, also known as Abu Hammam, was a senior Hamas official. One of the group's co-founders, he joined Hamas in the late 1980s. After being exiled in 1994, al-Alami became a key link between Gaza and the Syrian and Iranian governments, functioning as Hamas's first representative in Tehran.
