Ildar Khairullin is a Russian chess grandmaster. He learned to play chess when 6 years old. His first coach was Valeriy Pugachevsky. At eight years old, he became a Candidate Master and at 14 an International Master. After school, he began studying at the Saratov State Social-Economic University, but later transferred to the State University of Economics and Finance in Saint Petersburg.
