Idan Amedi broke through on Kochav Nolad in 2010 and spent the next seven years as a singer-songwriter, releasing six albums and charting singles like "Pain of Warriors" and "Finished." In 2017 he crossed into acting, landing a part on Fauda as Sagi Tzur, the kind of role that gave him a second audience. When the Gaza war broke out he was called up as an IDF reservist, and in January 2024 he was seriously injured while reportedly demolishing Hamas tunnels in the Strip. He recovered enough to earn an Ophir nomination for Best Actor later that year for Highway 65, a drama that arrived in the shadow of everything else.
