Hawo Tako (1925–1948) was a prominent Somali activist. Hawo Osman was born in Kebri Beyah in 1925 and was activist in the It was a liberation movement against colonialism that emerged after World War II. They spoke in the name of Greater Somalia (soomaliweyn) However, due to clashes with colonial forces, she sustained many serious injuries, which led to her death in 1948 at the age of 23.
