On 14 November 2012, he was awarded the Jawarharlal Nehru Fellowship for his project "Governing India in the 21st Century: Reinventing Nehruvian Executive Leadership Mode." He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Tribune Group of publications from 1 June 2015 until 15 March 2018.
