Gustav Wegner was a German track and field athlete who competed in the pole vault and the decathlon. He was the first ever European champion in the pole vault and the first German to clear four metres in the event.

He was a five-time national champion at the German Athletics Championships and a stadium near Northeim was named in his honour.
