He represented Great Britain at the Olympics, World and European Championships, and England at the Commonwealth Games. Rutherford is the most recent of only five athletes to win the ''Grand Slam" of Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth titles in the same event and the only one also to win the Diamond League.
