French politician
Gerty Archimède was a politician from Guadeloupe who served in the French National Assembly from 1946 to 1951. She was the first female lawyer to pass the Guadeloupe Bar and the second black woman elected to the French National Assembly, shortly after Eugénie Éboué-Tell.
