About

George Porter was born on 6 December 1920 in Britain. He built a career in chemistry that culminated in the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1967, placing him among the field's recognized peaks. Later he became Baron Porter of Luddenham, carrying both the title and the prize into his final decades. He died on 31 August 2002.
