German SS general (1880–1945)
Franz Breithaupt was a German SS functionary during the Nazi era who rose to the rank of SS-Obergruppenführer. He served as the Polizeipräsident of Breslau from April 1941 to August 1942. From that point until April 1945, he was chief of the SS Court Main Office (Hauptamt SS-Gericht). Breithaupt was murdered by his SS aide Karl Lang just prior to the end of the war in Europe.
