François Dubet is a French sociologist. He is the former director of studies at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS). He was a professor at the University of Bordeaux-II until his retirement in 2013. He is the author of studies devoted to juvenile marginalization, schools and institutions.
