Roman Catholic cardinal (1839–1910)
Francesco di Paolo Satolli was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church. He served as the first Apostolic Delegate to the United States from 1893 to 1896 and as Prefect of the Congregation for Studies from 1897 until his death in 1910. He was created a cardinal by Pope Leo XIII in 1895.
