About this person
Floor Jansen joined After Forever at 16 in 1997 and led the symphonic metal band until they disbanded in 2009. She formed ReVamp and released two albums, then got the call from Nightwish in 2012 to fill in as a touring vocalist after Anette Olzon's departure. A year later they made it official - she was the new permanent frontwoman, and ReVamp dissolved. She's worked extensively with Arjen Anthony Lucassen across multiple Ayreon albums (Universal Migrator Part 1: The Dream Sequencer, 01011001, The Source) and joined his progressive metal supergroup Star One. In 2018 she launched the hard rock duo Northward with Pagan's Mind guitarist Jørn Viggo Lofstad. Her sister Irene Jansen also sings, and also worked with Ayreon.
